Our Pastor

Our Pastor and His Family

One need not visit long before realizing that on February of 1993, at 2:40 AM, in the front seat of his patrol car, in Barnwell SC, Michael Lovett gave his life and heart to Christ and asked the Lord for His forgiveness. From that day forward until today it has been his mooring point and his message to others.

Pastor Lovett has been married since February of 1988, to his Georgia sweetheart. They met while he was serving in the US Army. Pastor and Mrs. Lovett have 3 grown children, all married, with 4 grandchildren and growing. Pastor and Mrs. Lovett have a deep love for their family, having both come from broken homes and thus create a loving, family atmosphere here at our Church.

Both Pastor Lovett and his wife, having come to know the Lord later in their lives, and both from broken homes, bring much understanding and wisdom for the struggles that ordinary people face in today’s world. Having been married for over 30 years and in the ministry for over 20. Pastor and Mrs Lovett have been involved in prison work, evangelism, both Christian Schooling and College Teaching and as well raising their children, while serving on the mission field for 10 years.

We are happy to have them here and are thankful and blessed to see what the Lord has done with us all, since their arrival. We are looking to see what more God will continue to do here at Graham Road Baptist Church through the leadership and guidance of Pastor and Mrs. Lovett and all those that call this home, in the years to come. A Message from Pastor Michael Lovett

We are grateful that you have chosen to visit our church website. It is and has been both a privilege and an honor to serve as the Pastor of Graham Road Baptist Church since March of 2013.

Since its beginning in May of 1926, Graham Road Baptist Church has had a rich heritage, having had several men of God to lead His people here. I am humbled to follow behind that heritage, as well as the many missionaries and evangelists that have come through and shared God’s Word. I now want to continue to do my part to lead such a wonderful group of God’s people in northeast Ohio.

Having had the privilege of being married now for over 30 years and living in various places and as missionaries on the foreign field, it is now a pleasure to call Northeast Ohio, home. This is a beautiful area, and with its proximity to so many little towns, and its wonderful location on Graham Road, we have found it a great place to serve the Lord. Our desire and prayer, since coming here, is to be a continued blessing to the folks at Graham Road Baptist Church. As well as for those in our area to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and become actively involved in a Bible-believing, Bible-preaching, Local New Testament Baptist Church that cares for people like this one and that we now call home.

I am grateful for the blessings of God, shown to us here since arriving in beautiful Northeast Ohio. Although having come from the Bible Belt, we make no apology for strong expository preaching, sound doctrine, compassion for God’s people and a devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word. As someone well said “God’s work, done God’s way, brings God’s blessings”

We hope you’ll come see us soon,

Pastor Lovett
