We want to make your visit as welcoming as possible!
When you reach the main church doors from the (West) parking lot, you will be greeted by one or more of our deacons or ushers. If you have any questions, they will be glad to answer them the best they can. If you have young children, our well-trained and qualified workers are more than happy to watch over and protect them in our secure nursery during the service. When you’d like to find a seat in the sanctuary, one of our friendly ushers will be happy to help you locate the perfect seat but please feel free to sit wherever you’d like. Once the service starts, our pastor will invite all of our visitors who would like one, to receive a free welcome pack, featuring a GRBC coffee mug and other small gifts along with a visitors card to raise their hand. We ask that you briefly fill out the visitors card so we have a record of your visit and Pastor Lovett can pray for you during the week. You may place the visitors card in the offering plate when we receive our morning love offering. We are confident that the services will speak to your heart, and you will leave with the profound awareness that God loves you and has a special plan for your life.
What kind of services do you have?
Pastor Lovett works diligently during the week to bring God’s message to life in way that is relevant to the believer’s everyday life. You can expect a few soul-stirring congregational songs and several beautiful arrangements sung by “Joyful Noise”, our church choir and maybe a solo, duet, trio, or quartet thrown in for good measure. You can also expect to sometimes hear one or more of God’s people stand and share an inspirational testimony of an answered prayer or thankfulness to God for what he is doing their life. After special announcements, music, and offering, our Pastor will give a message from God’s word that will surely challenge you to renew your love and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ. At the conclusion of his message, he will give an altar call to the people whose heart were touched by the message, and would like to come forward to pray at the altar. He may also give an invitation to those who have made a decision in their heart for Christ to come forward and make a public declaration.
We enjoy music that sings praise to God. Most of the congregational music is sung from a hymn book and considering that our Pastor hails from below the Mason Dixon Line, our musical selections oftentimes have that timeless, and unmistakable southern flair. Songs performed by our choir and other special musicians are of a more contemporary style, so whatever your musical taste is, we promise that you won’t be disappointed.
