Why should I connect with Hannah’s Hope?
There are many reasons why a child may be placed for adoption or into the foster care system. These children find themselves in care as a result of a breakdown in the family unit, unforeseen circumstances, or other traumatic events.
Therefore, caring for these children can be very challenging, but so needful for their healing. Caregivers often put the needs of others before themselves while overlooking their own need for support. You may have willingly accepted the enormous responsibility and the unforeseen burdens, but that does not mean you have to bear it alone. (Galatians 6:2)
This is why Graham Road Baptist Church wants to come alongside you and your family as you fulfill an essential role in the lives of these children. We provide monthly support meetings for the whole family with a meal included, welcome bags shortly after new children of any age arrive at your home (we call Hope-Full Bags), and we have a Hope-Full closet (available by appointment). You’re family is also invited to join us for any of our church services. We are a very friend, family-oriented church and your family is welcome here.
What can I expect at a Support Meeting?
We come together at Graham Road Baptist Church on the second Monday of each month for a free dinner served at 6:30pm, followed by our parent support meeting at 7pm. Child watch is provided by our background checked church members for ages 6 weeks-17 years. Both moms and dads are all welcome and encouraged to come enjoy some refreshments, short devotions, open discussion, special speakers (as scheduled), and special events (as scheduled). Our hope is you will all leave feeling encouraged and new connections with other families. If you will be joining us for our next meeting, please email us at foster@grbaptistchurch.org. If using our child watch, please include the name, age, gender, and any special needs for each child you will bring.

What is a Hope-Full Bag?
When new children join your family, they usually come with the clothes on their back. That is why Graham Road Baptist Church wants to gift them, and you, with a Free Hope-Full Bag. You receive a backpack or diaper bag packed full of new items. They may come packed with: gift card for a family meal, new pajamas, new underwear/pull-ups/diapers, new socks, wipes, stuffed animal, shoes, additional clothing, coats, toys, art supplies, hygiene products., and more as available! Hope-Full bags help them feel more comfortable and keep you from frantic shopping trips.
